Pedro Madeira de Brito speaker at the ILO centenary

Pedro Madeira de Brito, a labor law recognized lawyer in Portugal, attends the conference marking the 100th anniversary of the International Labor Organization (ILO), which takes place November 21-22 at Georgetown University in Washington, as a speaker on the theme “Collective Bargaining in the Public Sector: The Southern Europe and the Latin America Case”.

Professor of Law at the University of Lisbon and partner of BAS, Pedro Madeira de Brito will join the panel of the second day “Labor Law Regimes and the Freedom of Association, including the Public Sector Building Workplace Power: Rethinking the Bargain”.

The ILO’s 100-year-old conference is entitled “Continuing the Struggle: The International Labor Organization (ILO) Centenary and the Future of Global Worker Rights”, aiming to provide at the same time a retrospective and insightful view of the organization involving academics, lawyers and practitioners, including decision-makers, union leaders and workers’ rights organizations.
