BAS integrates lawyer José Luis Dias

BAS Sociedade de Advogados, SP, RL, has added a new Associate Lawyer to its team, José Luis Dias, who brings his knowledge and expertise to reinforce the Data Protection team.

José Luis Dias has a degree in Law from the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon, and a post-graduate degree in Law and Technology from the Faculty of Law, School of Porto School of the Portuguese Catholic University. He took the e-learning course The Theory and Practice of Personal Data Protection Protection from the Law Faculty of Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

He has moved from KGSA & Associados as Of Counsel. Author of several published scientific articles, the most recent of which he co-authored, namely, “The Data Protection Officer of Public Entities”, in Data Protection Law: public and Private Perspectives, and “Artificial Intelligence and data protection” in Artificial Intelligence in the Public Context: Portugal and Brazil, both at Almedina in 2023.

The reinforcement of the team respects the demanding level of legal services that the firm offers its clients and allows it to increase its response capacity in the national and international market where it has been operating since 2016.
